Today we continue our focus on this part of the Lord’s prayer:

“…but deliver us from the evil one.”

God is our defense and is the source of everything we need to be delivered from evil.

Warm Up:

Pray this:

“Lord, deliver me from the evil one. Today I put on righteousness as my body armor. Right standing with You leads to right living empowered by You. As a soldier’s breastplate protects his chest from an enemy’s attack, so right living guards my heart against the assaults of the enemy. May I live a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Round 1:

REPEAT FROM YESTERDAY: Stand up and Read Ephesians 6:10-17 out loud.

Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Round 2:

Matthew 4:3-4—The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

consider where it is hard for you to live according to God’s word.

Round 3:

Read through these words from god:

2 Corinthians 5:21—For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Psalm 5:8—Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.

Matthew 6:33—But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
